Ibuprofen may be used to reduce high body temperature above 38.8 degrees celcius to eliminate the infection for causing the fever. Paracetamol may be prescribed by your doctor to reduce fever.
This includes maintaining hydration by drinking more than 3 bottles of water daily. A cool fan or air-con can be used to reduce the body temperature. However, it is important not to become too cold or not to shiver as this will cause the body to trap more heat and will lead to a higher temperature. |
